Privacy Policy for Cabinet

Last updated: May 29, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Benandliva OÜ ("we", "us", or "our") handles information in the mobile and desktop application "Cabinet" (the "App").

Cabinet is an offline-first all-in-one business management app for freelancers, small businesses, tradespeople, consultants, shops and service providers. It covers invoices, quotes, POS sales, customers, products, warehouse, expenses, mileage, time tracking, projects, calendar planning, backups, multi-organization management and more. The App is designed to work fully without an internet connection. No login or sign-up is required to use any of the core features.

1. No Data Collection

We do not collect, store, process, or share any personal data or usage data from users of Cabinet.

2. Offline Use

Cabinet is designed to work fully offline. The App does not require an internet connection to function, and it does not communicate with any external servers or online services for its core features.

All your business data — including customers, invoices, quotes, sales, POS receipts, products, warehouse information, expenses, time entries, mileage records, projects, calendar items and all other records — is stored locally on your own device.

3. Your Data Stays on Your Device

Because Cabinet is offline-first, the information you enter into the App remains under your control. We do not have access to your app database, your customers, your invoices, your business records, your product catalog, your expenses, your mileage records or any other information stored in the App.

We cannot view, recover, restore, edit, delete or manage your local business data because it is not stored on our servers.

4. Your Backups Stay Yours

Any backup you create in Cabinet is a local file stored on your device. You decide what to do with it — copy it to your computer, move it to another device, save it to your own storage service, or keep it wherever you wish.

We have no access to your backup files and do not receive them. There are no automatic uploads to us, and no backup data is sent to us or to any third party by default.

If you choose to store a backup file in your own cloud storage, email account, external drive, messaging app or any other third-party service, that storage choice is your own responsibility and may be subject to the privacy policy and terms of that third-party provider.

5. Optional Cloud Backup or External Storage

If the App offers optional cloud backup, export, sharing or file storage functionality, such functionality is controlled by the user. We do not access, monitor or process the contents of your backup files.

You are responsible for deciding where your exported files and backups are stored, how they are protected and who can access them.

6. Third-Party Services

Cabinet does not integrate third-party analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs or tracking services that collect personal or usage data from users.

The App does not share your business information with third parties.

7. Data Security

Since Cabinet does not collect or store user data on our servers, there are no user databases or cloud storage systems on our side that could be accessed or compromised. Your data stays on your device and under your control.

You are responsible for protecting your own device, operating system account, screen lock, passwords, exported files and backup files. We strongly recommend that you keep your device secure, create regular backups and store backup files safely.

8. User Responsibility and Disclaimer

Cabinet is provided as a practical business management tool. You are solely responsible for the accuracy, legality and completeness of the information you enter into the App, including invoices, quotes, tax information, VAT, customer details, product data, sales records, POS receipts, mileage, expenses, time registrations, projects and any other business records.

The App does not provide legal, tax, accounting, financial or professional advice. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the App and the documents you create comply with applicable laws, tax rules, accounting requirements, invoicing rules, bookkeeping obligations and business requirements in your country or region.

Where necessary, you should consult a qualified accountant, tax advisor, lawyer or other professional advisor before relying on records, invoices, reports or other information generated by the App.

The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we aim to provide a reliable and useful product, we do not guarantee that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, suitable for every business purpose, or compliant with every local legal, tax, accounting or invoicing requirement.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Benandliva OÜ shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, business, financial, tax-related, accounting-related, data-related or other losses resulting from the use of, or inability to use, the App.

This includes, but is not limited to, loss of data, loss of profits, business interruption, incorrect records, incorrect invoices, missed deadlines, tax reporting issues, accounting errors, loss of customers, device failure, backup failure, user error or reliance on information generated by the App.

9. Local Data, Backups and Data Loss

Because your data is stored locally on your own device, you are responsible for maintaining your own backups and for protecting access to your device and backup files.

If your device is lost, damaged, reset, stolen or otherwise becomes unavailable, your data may be lost unless you have created and safely stored a backup. We cannot restore data that was only stored locally on your device and was not backed up by you.

We strongly recommend that you create regular backups and test that your backups can be restored correctly.

10. Bug Reports and Support

We appreciate users who report bugs, errors or unexpected behavior in Cabinet. If you find a bug, you may contact us by email at contact@benandliva.com.

When reporting a bug, please include as much relevant information as possible, such as the device or operating system you are using, the App version, a clear description of the issue, the steps needed to reproduce it, and screenshots or screen recordings if available.

We are happy to review bug reports and, where appropriate, fix confirmed bugs. Bug fixing is handled according to our internal priorities, which may depend on severity, reproducibility, business impact, number of affected users, technical complexity and available resources.

Submission of a bug report does not guarantee that the issue will be fixed immediately, within a specific timeframe, or in the exact way requested by the user.

11. Custom Development and Paid Work

We may offer custom development, feature adjustments, integrations, workflow changes, reports, templates, import/export functions or other customer-specific improvements for Cabinet as paid work.

Any custom development is subject to a separate agreement, quotation, scope definition, payment terms and availability. Custom development requests are not included as part of the standard App purchase unless this has been expressly agreed in writing.

If you would like to request custom development, you can contact us at contact@benandliva.com with a description of what you need. We will review the request and may provide an estimate, quotation or proposal where relevant.

We reserve the right to accept, reject, delay or modify custom development requests based on technical feasibility, business priorities, available resources and commercial agreement.

12. App Updates

We may release updates to Cabinet to improve functionality, fix bugs, improve compatibility, add features or make other changes. Some updates may change, add or remove features.

We are not obligated to provide any specific feature, update, compatibility fix or support service unless this has been expressly agreed in writing.

13. Children's Privacy

Cabinet is intended for business use by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13, or any other age defined by local law. Because we do not collect any data at all, no child's data can be stored by us through the App.

If you believe that we might have accidentally received any personal information from a child through any other channel, for example by email, please contact us at contact@benandliva.com, and we will promptly delete it.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example to reflect changes in legal requirements, business practices or in the App itself. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.

Any changes will apply only to future versions of the App. We recommend that you review this Privacy Policy periodically to stay informed about how we handle privacy, support, disclaimers and user responsibilities.
